Short intro

Thunder Seven is the seventh studio album by Canadian hard rock band Triumph, released in November 1984. The second half of the album follows a concept based on various time-related themes. The album was certified gold in the US by the RIAA, with sales of over 500,000 copies, on April 21, 2003, almost nineteen years after its initial release. Follow Your Heart was the band's highest charting single of the time, reaching 88 in both the UK and the US. Spellbound was also released as a single. Thunder Seven - Triumph. Like most every Triumph album before it, Thunder Seven split its focus on the dual dimensions of the band's signature sound - straightforward hard rock and artsier experiments - beginning with the forceful but undeniably catchy heavy metal of Rock Out, Roll On before moving on to Cool Down, which features a bluesy acoustic intro, and the anthem-like singles Spellbound and Follow Your. Triumph's once unstoppable rock & roll machine was seriously running out of gas by the release of 1984's Thunder Seven, which was named thus because it was, in fact, their seventh studio album in Canada sixth worldwide. Where the previous year's Never Surrender had managed to disguise the band's dwindling stores of inspiration and desire beneath a semi-convincing imitation of glories past, Thunder Seven revealed a group that was largely going through the motions. Thunder Seven. Cool Down. 1984's THUNDER SEVEN by Triumph is a rock-solid release that is consistently good from beginning to end. Though it doesn't have the extremely catchy sounds like Fight the Good Fight and Magic Power from ALLIED FORCES, it nonetheless delivers. This album sounds awesome, technically speaking. 0 out of 5 stars Thunder Seven is a triumphant album from Canadian rockers, Triumph Reviewed in Canada on March 30, 2019. Verified Purchase.
