Short intro

El Camino is the seventh studio album by American rock duo the Black Keys. It was co-produced by Danger Mouse and the group, and was released on Nonesuch Records on December 6, 2011. The record was the band's follow-up to their commercial breakthrough, Brothers 2010, and was their third collaboration with Danger Mouse. El Camino draws from popular genres of the 1950s to 1970s, such as rock and roll, glam rock, rockabilly, surf rock and soul. Danger Mouse contributed as a co-writer on each of the 11. The Black Keys new album El Camino will be released December 6 on Nonesuch Records. Produced by Danger Mouse and The Black Keys, the 11-track album was recorded at singerguitarist Dan Auerbachs Easy Eye Sound studio in the bands new hometown of Nashville during the spring of 2011. The Black Keys-Akron, Ohio, natives Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney-released their debut album, The Big Come Up, in 2002, followed byThickfreakness 2003 and Rubber Factory 2004. In 2006 they signed to Nonesuch Records in the US and released their fourth album, Magic Potion, which was followed by the Danger Mouse-produced Attack & Release in 2008. The Black Keys' seventh album features Danger Mouse's strongest production work for the group and a mood that's frivolous, fun, and unabashedly corny. Consider El Camino the aural equivalent of one of those Chrysler Imported from Detroit ads where a 47,000 car slowly rolls through one of the most devastated cities in America, a sign for 8 Mile Road glimpsed through tinted windows: the finest in luxury grit. Seedy, escapist camp, crass but expert, so expert. El Camino. The Black Keys. Released December 6, 2011. El Camino Tracklist. Lonely Boy Lyrics. The album was released on December 6, 2011 to acclaim from critics. It debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 album charts and went on to be nominated for Album of the Year at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. The album did win Best Rock Album and the single Lonely Boy won Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance. El Camino Q&A. More than any other Black Keys album, El Camino is an outright party, playing like a collection of 11 lost 45 singles, each one having a bigger beat or dirtier hook than the previous side. Whats being said doesnt matter as much as how its said: El Camino is all trash and flash and its highly addictive. Track Listing. Completa la tua Collezione su The Black Keys. El Camino is the Keys grandest pop gesture yet, augmenting dark-hearted fuzz blasts with sleekly sexy choruses and Seventies-glam flair. Its an attempt at staying true to the spirit of that piece-of-shit minivan on the album cover similar to their first touring vehicle while reimagining it as a pimpmobile. This is the Black Keys third meeting following 2008s Attack & Release and one track on Brothers with Danger Mouse, . Brian Burton. Here, the band essentially becomes a trio, with Burton as co-producerco-writer throughout. His brilliance, as the planet heard on Gnarls Ba. Yeah, this isn't a reissue.
"Limited" - what a joke.
What do you mean by this? Limited to 5000 copies, so that's gotta mean something, right?
It is always nice when the limited numbered copy you bought is actually less rare than the non-numbered ones.
I agree! Nonesuch took all the sizzle of the Brothers RSD and turned it into a wet fart with this El Camino RSD
Last time I pre order a black keys album. Three months after the original release, this comes out for the same price ?Sigh

Was the 7in missing in anybody else's packaging? *UPDATE*After exchanging a few email with the general info email from the record labels website they rectified the problem and sent me a replacement 7in painlessly.
Yes. with the album and the poster just not the Live 7in. Sent a email to the record company and they have been very polite and are looking into the issue.
I don't think there is a different version, but yours is the 2x LP, 45 rpm version?
""""Limited"""" to 10.000 copies? Might seem a low number considering the amout the sell these days of an album. But this is not limited in collectable terms!! I,ve bought the first edition without the 7'' for €36 which was a lot already. What was the price of this edition?
It was £40
High quality pressing.

A nice edition, but I'm a bit disappointed that as soon as I opened the plastic shrinkwrap I was hit by nasty smell of damp that now fills the room. I would have preferred a non-stinky edition.
