Pepper album, was the producer of Paladin's Charge in 1972. Despite the poor performance of Paladin, the band was allowed to record a second album, Charge produced by Philamore Lincoln, engineered by Geoff Emerick at Apple Studios and released in 1972. The album is notable for the cover art by Roger Dean which unfortunately did not help sales. In 1972, Stonebridge and Foley left, and the band recruited guitarvocalist Joe Jammer to replace them. Formed the previous year by Keith Webb and Pete Solley both ex-members of Terry Reid's band, Paladin encompassed all that was experimental in early 70's rock. Fusing the worlds of Jazz, Rock and ethnic Cuban music, Paladin's second album was both more progressive and hard edged in nature to their debut. I first heard Paladin Charge in 19734. I always held fond memories of the album but lost touch with it completely as I only had a tape that disappeared. I am stunned, this album is fantastic .
