While The Camels Back demonstrates a clear progression in Psapps worth as songwriters and musicians, it becomes easy to ignore what they accomplish creatively as the ears only pick up on its cuteness factor. Psapp kicks off THE CAMEL'S BACK with some lo-fi funk with some electronic bubbles and some saxophone in the background. It's an interesting start. Part Like Waves has more of a folk feel with strings and gentle guitar strumming, and the title track has a music box simplicity to it. Somewhere There Is A Record Of Our Actions layers Galia's vocals for a nice, shimmering track, while the perky Marshrat brings in all sorts of antique-sounding instrumentation.
